On a whirlwind trip to the Berta NYC flagship store I purchased 7x gowns. The Berta showroom offers off the rack and one of a kind dresses that were made by the designer, but never went into full production - all size 38/approximately street size 2. These dresses are offered at a discounted price - and the price listed reflects this. I made the mistake of going alone and ended up buying every dress that I really liked knowing I could probably sell the dresses I didn't end up wearing...thus, it brings me to this site. This dress has never been worn by a bride or for a wedding. It is unique/one of a kind, never went into production and became an off the rack dress available for purchase. It is in sample dress condition. I am 5'5 and this could easily be worn by someone who is 6'0 or shorter. There is a lot of length to work with. My measurements are 32 in bust, 25 in waist, 36 in hips. My cup size is a 32D.
This dress is the same net-like fabric as shown on Berta 16-18 and 16-09 - it has a good amount of sparkle, and it is a slinky net material that hugs the body perfectly. The neckline is unique with a sheer overlay and bordered with delicate/detailed silver beading. It does NOT have a built in bodysuit. In the photos I am wearing nude underwear and it worked fine - but note this is sheer. This dress is forgiving with stretch and could probably work for street size 0-6.
I split my time between Charleston, SC and Santa Monica, CA - the dresses are currently in Santa Monica. If you are local and would like to try on - I am happy to arrange a friend to help you if I am not in town.
****video was taken before I had it taken up a few inches. Please see photos for more accurate depiction of length.
